The National Bank Open, formerly Rogers Cup

LAUNCH OF SUR LA LIGNE – THE OFFICIAL PODCAST OF THE ROGERS CUP PRESENTED BY NATIONAL BANK

July 8, 2020

Knowing that we will have to wait a little while before the next edition of the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank, Tennis Canada wanted to offer tennis fans a new way to follow the news surrounding our sport and stay connected with their favorite players thanks to the new Official Rogers Cup podcast: Sur la ligne.

Alexandre Régimbald

Hosted by Alexandre Régimbald, who has covered several tennis tournaments as a sports journalist, and Nicholas Richard, journalist and editor at TVA Sports, the podcast will offer weekly coverage of the ATP and WTA tours, while focusing on the latest news from the world class Montreal tournament and our Canadian players.

“We are both delighted to begin this great adventure with the Tennis Canada team. We are two tennis fans who are not afraid to voice their opinions and generate a debate. We hope to be able to share our passion for this sport,” commented Régimbald and Richard.

“Tennis is definitely a growing sport in Canada. More and more people are playing and are interested in the sport. So, we wanted to offer interesting content to the entire Quebec tennis community. Our goal will be to provide listeners with informative, but also exciting content, with the participation of several renowned guests.”

Nicholas Richard

Recorded every Monday, Sur la ligne will recap the action from the previous week and will focus on topics to follow over the next seven days. The podcast will cover the four Grand Slam events as well as the other top tournaments in the world. It will also include interviews with several guests.
