On July 26, the Québec government announced that it will be easing restrictions on the capacity of stadiums and events, and the National Bank Open presented by Rogers is reiterating its objective to host 5,000 fans during each session at IGA Stadium.
Even with the new measures, stadiums and outdoor events must comply with a range of health measures, including social distancing. With our event two weeks away, the current configuration of our site and our health protocols enable us to host up to 5,000 people at each session in our stadium, which has a capacity of 11,700 seats. We will study the measures that were announced, and, if any changes are to be made, we will communicate them closer to the start date of the tournament.
We welcome the government’s announcement and are very pleased that Québec’s festivals and events now have the opportunity to host more people.
