Tennis Canada is delighted to announce that 407 ETR Free Community Weekend will return to Rogers Cup presented by National Bank bigger and better than ever in 2019. Admission is free for all guests on Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday August 4th and there are a host of activities suitable for the whole family.
As world-class women’s tennis players compete in qualifiers for the main draw, while their potential opponents spend time training on the practice courts, guests are invited to take part in and enjoy the entertainment on show on the Sobeys Stadium grounds.
“At Rogers Cup presented by National Bank, we want to ensure the guest experience is the best it can possibly be,” commented Karl Hale, Tournament Director for Rogers Cup in Toronto. “The Sobeys Stadium site is so large and the average guest spends over five hours here during their visit – so this is our way of making sure they get value for their money.”
Activities available for guests include meet and greets with kids’ TV mascots from Paw Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Carlton the Bear. WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will be on hand for an autograph session while fans can also meet members of the Toronto Defiant Overwatch Team.
Guests are encouraged to try out the Air Guitar Contest on the main stage or take the chance to view tennis in a new, fully-immersive experience at our Virtual Reality Station. Other activities include face painting, balloon artists and the 407 ETR Fast Serve Cage, which allows tennis enthusiasts to see just how quick their serve really is.
This summer, Toronto will host the very best women’s tennis during the Premier 5 event. Tickets are on sale online at nbostg.rain-digital.com or by calling 1 877 283-6647.
